Recently (summer 1999) went through a reorganization/schism of some sort. Some shifting back and forth of scouts that left and those that didn't. Several previous 224 people. Camping, backpacking and a lot of organization.

Pioneer District is in the Los Gates/Saratoga area. Scouts can switch districts if they want to. Some former 224 people are involved in Troop 539 that meets on Tuesdays at the Scout Hut behind Los Gatos High School. Scoutmaster Knowlton Shore - 354-2564, Committee Chair Jim DeWhitt - 279-0410. Lots of community involvement, camping on private wilderness area near Davenport and on Mt, Uhmunum, 75+ years of history.
