Here's one of our favorite pictures of puppy on his 8 week birthday! |

So what can JT do now? He's learned how to "Be a Bear" (go up on hind feet) as well as refined his skills
with "come" and "sit". We've also added "stay" and "off" and "ok!".
We use "off" to have him sit politely and wait for his food or a treat rather than lunge at our hands.
We know he's hungry! But he waits until he hears "ok!" before taking the food from our hand or eating
out of his food bowl.
We've also taught him "down" as in not jumping up onto people, pushing against screen doors and baby
gates. |

Here's a fun shot of JT going up enthusiastically for "Up! Be a Bear!" He can't quite hold his position
and ends up jumping up multiple times and getting very excited. He just can't quite believe after all of those
"No! Down!" commands that we're asking him to jump up AND give him at treat for doing it! |

Here JT demonstrates his stay/off - he is looking up at Daddy who is holding a treat but telling him to wait politely
until he gets the "ok!" to come get his treat. We are astounded at his patience and notice that every
few days we can have him "stay" or "off" another second or two!
What's particularily darling is when having to "off" when a treat or his food bowl is two inches from
his nose, he will LOOK AWAY from the food in order to keep from lunging at it. He often also does a happy head-tilt
and front paws dance when he hears the "ok!" (However, within a week of working on this command, we find
that he's actually able to look at the food and resist until he hears his "ok!" - but he still sometimes
does his happy paws!) |

Jadzia has started to make the top of JT's crate a perching place. She'll also nap on top while JT naps inside! |
