Read leaded windows!! Here is the paper template with the acrylic sheet taped in place. Also pictured is a sharp
exacto knife and a strip of golfer tape (real lead) with adhesive backing. With a straight edge, thin strips (approximately
1/32) are cut and laid on the acrylic, following the pattern. |
Here is the first side done (on left) and the template on the right. Will need to flip the acrylic over and repeat. |
Two completed windows. Almost. |
Using "Blacken-It", the lead on the right window has been aged. |
The small diamonds are colored by using Sharpies. To give the windows an old fashioned "poured glass"
appearance, clear fingernail polish is painted on one side of the acrylic. |
