Now I'm "caught up" from yesterday. Whew! The details will really come alive once the pieces are stained... |
 |
Now the front has been stained with Minwax "Ebony". It's certainly getting that Tudor feeling now! |
 |
Paperclay, paperclay, paperclay. Next phase is to start going nuts covering everything with paperclay!! This wall
will eventually contain the shelves. Note the "bricks" notched into random places on the wall at this
stage, more with that later! |

More staining! This time it is the pre-scored interior ceiling, timber beams, mantel, window seat and shelves.
We used Minwax "Provincial" for the interior woodwork, wiped off quickly in order to keep the stain light.
Next would have been MORE paperclay, but I was not at class for the morning session. So, my progress has been good,
but not as much as I would have liked! (5 hour day.) |
