Day 1 Day 2 Day 3 Day 4 Homework Bonus Day Finishing
| Here we are again at Shellie's Miniature Mania in San Carlos, California. Her delightful store is worth a visit if you are anywhere in the Bay Area! For the next four days, Shellie will be hosting Rik Pierce's newest class offering: Toy Shop. | |
| Here is a picture of a proto-type. Click here for a photo of the interior of this two-sided roombox. | |
| As always, we start with a lot of raw materials and tools. | |

For this project, Rik is using 1/2" thick gatorboard. This is different from prior projects that used foamcore.
The main advantage of using gatorboard is that it does not warp! The downside is that gluing sets up slower and
the gatorboard is a bit tougher to cut. But with zero warpage, it means we can place paperclay on a free standing
wall before installation! Pre-cast resin door and window casings are glued into place, having already been primed with a red lacquer. |

End of day! Managed to get more of the wooden pieces glued into place, but definitely behind! Still need to cut to size the rest of the small pieces and also drill and pound in the "wooden pegs". (8 hour day.) |
