Glowing Embers

Bluette Class - Day 2

Day 1 Day 2 Day 3 Day 4

The front is basically finished now, we've aged the front with dirty water, including adding some more color-texture to the actual brick wallpaper. Who'd a thunk? The wallpaper is a bit too uniform in color, especially for an aged building, so some bricks are dabbed with a bit of paint. We also used a white colored pencil to make some of the grout lines appear thicker/jagged to simulate age and sagging of the bricks.
We are creating a copper roof effect by painting the wood with these products.
The roof after a dark base coat in Walnut followed by 4 - 5 coats of Copper Topper.
Patina is added and let to "age". This will be further enhanced later with some touch up paint to create slightly more uniform streaks.
Our windows are stained in Dark Walnut, the floors and rafters in Provincial. Tomorrow we will create the leaded windows. (9 hours.)
