As V.P. of Development Engineering at PSI I have had the distinct pleasure of hiring Kayvan Sylvan and having him work for me. Over the course of time that Kayvan worked for me he was responsible for Software Configuration Management (SCM) at PSI and built the DVD installation mechanism, ran the builds of PSI's mainframe virtualization software supporting an engineering organization of ~80 engineers, configured and customized Linux in for use as an embedded OS, and was the in-house expert on third party virtualization solutions (VMWare, Xen, SWSoft). In this role he demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills working with and supporting a large development engineering team, he utilized a deep knowledge of Linux, Windows etc. and was a expert resource to others and he was very professional in a high stress fast paced start-up environment. I would certainly hire him again to work for me and hope I have that chance in the future.
